Still open: Quote A: fees and tax; Quote B: fees and tax. Ask each seller before you compare totals.

This assumes extra time is billed by the full hour, so a partial hour rounds up. Ask each seller how they bill it, and whether idle time during speeches costs extra. Per guest hour is for comparing quotes, not the attendant's wage. WeddingWire's range covers packages of every length, so treat it as a rough check. The cheaper quote is only better if the print rule, gallery, and backup plan are what you want.

Quick answer

Average wedding photo booth cost: about $551 to start

WeddingWire reports a starting price of about $551 for a three-hour photo booth package. Its chart says most couples spend $425 to $1,000, and the chart note says its data includes event rentals as well as photo booths. Seller listings show how wide real packages run, so compare written quotes for your own date, place, and hours.

The calculation method

Same hours, then every charge.

Package + extra hours × added-hour rate + prints + attendant + guest book + outdoor gear + travel + required fees and tax + other extras = full cost

  1. Extra hours are the hours guests use the booth past the package, rounded up to a full hour. Ask whether setup and idle time during speeches count.
  2. Prints, an attendant, a guest book, or outdoor gear counts only if you want it and the package leaves it out. If a package includes one you didn't ask for, the comparison lists it, so you can see what a higher price buys.
  3. Open lines stay open. A blank rate, add-on price, travel fee, or tax line is never counted as $0, and neither quote is called cheaper until both are complete.
  4. Other extras are things you chose that the lines above don't cover. Leave the field blank if you chose none.

The starting numbers are the example from our photo booth cost guide: four guest hours in Miami-Dade with one seller. Quote A is attended digital, $450 for three hours plus $150 for the fourth. Quote B is the attended DSLR package with standard prints, $650 plus $175. They come to $600 and $825, so prints add $225. When we checked on October 18, 2026, the seller said both packages include an attendant and Miami-Dade travel. The guide leaves tax open, so the calculator does too until you enter it.

What a booth quote should list

  • Arrival time, guest hours, and when setup starts.
  • Booth type, backdrop, props, and whether an attendant stays.
  • How many copies each session prints, and the print size.
  • The digital gallery and when you receive it.
  • Overtime and idle-time rates, and who can approve extra time.
  • Travel, any outdoor gear, and required fees or sales tax.
  • Retainer, balance date, backup equipment, and cancellation terms.

What this leaves out

  • Where the booth can stand, power, and the venue's rules.
  • Whether guests will line up in a short window.
  • A tip. Keep it on its own line, outside the quote.

Questions about wedding photo booth cost

How much does a wedding photo booth cost?

WeddingWire reports a starting price of about $551 for a three-hour package, and its chart says most couples spend $425 to $1,000. The chart's data also includes event rentals, so use it as an early reference. Your written quotes, for your date, place, and hours, are the numbers to compare.

How much is an extra hour of photo booth time?

The listings in our guide that show an added-hour rate charge $100 to $175 for another hour. Ask whether the rate covers guest use or idle time too, and get it in writing.

Are prints included in a photo booth rental?

It depends on the package. Some sell digital sharing only, some include unlimited prints, and some give one print per guest per session. Ask how many copies each session gets before you compare totals.

Is a drop-off booth without an attendant cheaper?

It can be. One Miami seller lists a three-hour drop-off from $350 and its attended digital option from $450. Someone still has to help guests and watch the equipment, so decide who handles a frozen screen or a long line.

Can I count an unlisted travel fee or tax as zero?

Not until the seller confirms it. The calculator keeps blank lines open and does not call either quote cheaper until every open line has an answer.

Should I choose the cheaper photo booth quote?

Only after both quotes cover the same guest hours, print rule, and setup, and every required charge is confirmed. Then compare the gallery, backup equipment, and how each seller handles a breakdown.
