The number is only as good as its evidence.

VowMath is being built to make wedding-price provenance inspectable. We would rather publish an unknown than disguise an assumption as a quote.

Four labels, used consistently

Source fact

A value stated in a dated first-party pricing page, brochure, proposal, or contract. The source and retrieval date stay attached.

Calculated

Deterministic arithmetic from source facts—for example, a stated 22% fee applied to the stated package subtotal. The formula is visible.

Benchmark or assumption

A local range used only when the source is incomplete. Assumptions must be labeled and can never be presented as the venue’s price.

Unknown

A required cost that cannot be responsibly determined. The product turns it into a concrete question for the venue.

The public-page evidence gate

  1. Current official price or credible official range
  2. Capacity and event-space context
  3. At least five mandatory-fee, inclusion, or policy fields
  4. Manual review with a source-check date
  5. No copied reviews, venue photography, or brochure prose

Pages receive a freshness warning after 180 days and should leave the index after 365 days without current confirmation.

How the true price is calculated

required base charges+guest-count charges or minimum spend+ceremony, bar, staff, security and rentals+service/admin fee on its stated base+tax on the stated taxable base=known required total + unresolved costs

Ranking and corrections

Payment must never change organic order or the price calculation. Venue profiles are research summaries, not endorsements. A correction process and version history will be added before venue submissions or paid relationships launch.
